Gardening Issues – Controlling Garden Pests

In a gardener or farmers life, they will surely have issues, with regards to pests in their garden. Chances are, pests will eventually eat all the leaves, roots or the whole plant especially if it is still budding and every part of the plant is tender and “juicy” for these pests.

Fortunately, there are effective ways on how to control these pests and there are natural ways and there are ways in which you have to use pesticides or insecticides that are chemically based.

Now in using commercial pesticides or insecticides, you have to take safety measures by using hand gloves and face mask. In this way, you are not able to inhale the toxic fumes of the chemicals. Also, you have to read the manual carefully before you spray the pesticides. In this way, you will avoid damaging the plant and instead, you will only eliminate the pests. Again, be sure to wash your hands and your body after using these chemicals for your plants.

As for natural garden pest control, you can use plant based insecticides or pesticides, such as chili, pyrethrum or derris dust. These kinds of plant have toxins in them that can “kill” insects and other pests.

Keep in mind that insects can also be a big help in controlling pests. Meaning, the insects you will introduce in your garden are predators such as spiders, praying mantis and even small lizards that crawls in your house.
